Documentary Ideas
Tommie Closson
Tommie is a talk show host for the Elkhark Truth radio station. He used to do news talk radio and had a show called Tommie and the Bartender on WAOR. I could interview him about radio production and what it's like to work for radio stations.
Cathy Jimenez
Cathy helps run a local restaurant called The Diner in New Carlisle. The restaurant helps out people in the town, If someone in the community needs help, they will give their tips to them or raise money for them. They also give free meals to families in need. Not only does it help the community, but it is also a popular place to go out to eat. I could interview her about how she helps out with the restaurant and how they made a positive impact on the community.

Music Video Analysis
The Thespian by Alesana
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DOFsV0lxtQ
The music video The Thespian by Alesana has narrative and performance scenes in it. It starts out with narration, where someone says "I am here to tell you a story..." which shows how the band wanted to emphasize the storyline in the video. It has an overall creepy and mysterious mood, which goes along with the song. The whole video is in black and white and kind of looks like is old film. The visual affects are supposed to make the video look scarier, and the black and white really shows the contrast between good and evil. The girl in the video is the lightest shade of white, which gives her a ghostly affect. This is my favorite music video I've seen, and I also think it is one of the most well made ones.

Brainstorming
Music Video
When I'm Gone
"True love doesn't die"
This video would be about someone driving to see the person they love, and on their way, they get into a car crash. The rest of the time, it will focus on the person that they were going to go see. The video will show how this person reacts to the crash when they hear the news. I picture the video in mostly basic black and white shades, with a few things with color that stand out. At the end, the person in the crash is comforted by the other person, and it is up to the viewer to decide if they think the person in the crash lives or not.
Documentary
Music Brought to the Community
"Get lost in the music"
This documentary would be about local music venues in small towns, and how it brings excitement to cities. There could be interviews with people who own venues, music artists who perform, and even music fans who frequently go to concerts. It could explain the work that goes into music shows, and how it affects people in the community and gives them something to do.
Narrative
Terror at the Lake House
"Don't go swimming alone"
In this video some friends go to a lake house for the weekend, but suddenly they start to disappear one by one. Is it something in the water? Or in the lake? They need to figure out what it is that is after them before it's too late.

About Me
My name is Heaven, I'm a New Media major here at IUSB. I love music, and I'm listening to it almost all the time. I like all different kinds of music, but my favorite genre is metal. I absolutely LOVE horror movies, I like watching anything creepy or scary. Some of my favorite movies are The Uninvited, The Cabin in the Woods, Sucker Punch, Alice in Wonderland, and Thor. My favorite TV show is definitely American Horror Story.
I've been interested in making media for a long time because I like being able to be creative. I like graphic design, making music, and drawing. After I graduate, I would like to have some kind of career in the music business, but I wouldn't mind having a job in some other kind of media.
