When I'm Gone
"True love doesn't die"
This video would be about someone driving to see the person they love, and on their way, they get into a car crash. The rest of the time, it will focus on the person that they were going to go see. The video will show how this person reacts to the crash when they hear the news. I picture the video in mostly basic black and white shades, with a few things with color that stand out. At the end, the person in the crash is comforted by the other person, and it is up to the viewer to decide if they think the person in the crash lives or not.
Documentary
Music Brought to the Community
"Get lost in the music"
This documentary would be about local music venues in small towns, and how it brings excitement to cities. There could be interviews with people who own venues, music artists who perform, and even music fans who frequently go to concerts. It could explain the work that goes into music shows, and how it affects people in the community and gives them something to do.
Narrative
Terror at the Lake House
"Don't go swimming alone"
In this video some friends go to a lake house for the weekend, but suddenly they start to disappear one by one. Is it something in the water? Or in the lake? They need to figure out what it is that is after them before it's too late.
Good starts. The music video has a narrative storyline with a stylized treatment. The doc is good but too broad for a short video. If you take the concept but apply it to one venue it will work. The Lake House is compelling and has a great tagline but lacks depth and originality. It sounds like so many movies. Don't try to imitate. What kind of story do you want to tell? You can keep the horror concept and the setting but add more details about the plot and/or characters.
